Tim Shea, AIA - Principal

As principal in charge of Architectural Design and Construction, Tim brings over 30 years of experience to the practice. In a distinguished career spanning over 20 years, Tim was an Associate Partner at Richard Meier and Partners where he served as Project Architect on the Getty Center and San Jose City Hall as well as Project Director for a new Federal Courthouse in San Diego. All his projects have achieved a LEED standard and have won AIA National, State and Regional Awards and most recently a 2014 GSA Design Award for the Federal Courthouse.

 

Tim Holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Colorado. He has taught design and architecture in several schools since the year 1998 including Rhode Island School of Design, California State University at Fullerton and at UCLA for over a decade. Tim is a licensed architect in Colorado, California, New York and Connecticut.

Melinda Shea - Principal

Melinda is principal in charge of Interior Architecture and Strategic Planning. Melinda recently left her position of Manager of Space Planning and Design at Bridgewater Associates to collaborate with her husband Tim in their new practice. Her previous experience includes Vice President at Capital Group Companies as Director of Strategic Planning and Design Projects where she directed the planning and design of award winning investment office projects globally for fifteen years. She also served in a similar role for Warner Music Group, Sanwa Bank of California, and Atlantic Richfield Company. Prior to her corporate experience, she worked as a Senior Designer at Gensler.

 

Melinda holds a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and a Master Degree in Interior Architecture and Space Planning from the University of Colorado.
